Family Fun

Me and my cute kiddos on Mother's Day.
Jenna here is now 7 months old. She just started crawling at about 7 months old. She is also already pulling herself up on furniture. We have another child that just wants to grow up too fast. She is now into everything. It sure makes it tough to remodel when she tries to help. She is really good at cleaning up the little scraps, except she thinks all the scraps need to go in her mouth. Ugh! I'm exhausted and the fun has only just begun.
So a few days ago we were at a wedding reception and Logan really wanted a piece of cake. They had them all sliced up sitting on a table ready to be eaten. Brian told Logan that he could go grab "One Piece" meaning one slice of cake. Well Logan went over to the table and grabbed one piece off of a slice of cake and brought it back to the table. If you look at the picture below you can see where his one piece was taken. I guess we need to be a little more specific.
Another funny thing Logan did the other day was...He ran away from Dad while they were out on a walk in our complex. Come to find out the reason he ran away was because he had to go #1. He then comes into the house and tells me, "Mom, I ran away from daddy and peed on those pink flowers outside." I hope no one saw him. We might get kick out of our complex now, but on the bright side... he didn't have an accident!

Jenna is getting to be very quick. When she want something she goes for it. Well at the reception she decided she wanted Grandpa Marks whipped cream. She dove so fast for it and got it. But she didn't want it on her hand after she got it, until...
Grandma Joyce stuck her fingers in her mouth. Her face lite up. It was like the best thing she had ever eaten. I guess it probably was since her diet consists of formula, rice cereal and squash. She was in heaven with that whipped cream.
Jenna has decided that she doesn't like to get swaddled anymore while she is sleeping. This is how she prefers to sleep now. Isn't she cute!

Christina and Nick came into town this last weekend. So on one of the days they were here we had a picnic lunch at the lake and did some kayaking. This was Logan's first time kayaking. He loved it. I think his favorite part of the whole day was chasing away the ducks that kept coming over to try and steal our food. Those ducks kept Logan busy for a while. I wish I would have gotten a picture because it was really cute. Here are just a few pictures from our adventures.

This is Jenna trying to play with Uncle Kyle's new kitten Jack. Logan is just in love with this kitten. I don't think I have ever seen him get so excited over something.
Logan and Grandma cruising the water.
Brian out splashing around.
Jenna, Camille, Logan, Christina, Kyle and Emily soaking up some sun.

Logan's other favorite part of the day was getting to eat all the treats that Grandma brought.
We tired Grandpa out with all the fun that we had that day.
Grandma, Grandpa, Christina and Nick also went out to a bunch of garage sales over the weekend. This was one of their finds. A pirate costume for Logan, but he is sharing very well with his sister.
(Julie- if you are reading this... here is Jenna in one of the dresses you got for her. This picture doesn't do this dress justice. She looked so darn cute in it. Thanks!)

Happy Mother's Day!

We wanted to wish our wonderful Mother's a very Happy Mothers Day. We love you both so much. Since I am not the best with words here is a little poem that sums up how we feel about our mothers.

For as long as I can remember...
You were always by my side,
To give me support, confidence, and help.

For as long as I can remember...
You were always the person I looked up to,
So strong, so sensitive, so pretty.

For as long as I can remember...
You always provided stability within our family,
Full of laughter, full of tears, full of love.

For as long as I can remember...
And still today,
You are everything a mother should be.

Whatever I have become is because of you...
... And I thank you forever for all that you do.
We love you!

So I have to admit that I think I have the cutest kids in the world. Just look and you will agree. :) What a joy it is to be a mother of 2 beautiful children. I am so blessed to be their Mommy. Mommy loves you very much! I never knew I could love someone so much.
Thanks for choosing me to be your Mommy! XoXo!
