Preschool

My little man is now in preschool. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Some days I just wish I could slow the time clock down. Logan loves preschool. He goes on his own, which is amazing. I was afraid I was going to be a preschooler again, too. He does great there. Yay for preschool!

I asked him to turn so I could see his backpack and this is what he did.

Everyday after preschool they have to run the sidewalks and then come lean back into the bushes to rest from their running.

When preschool was not in session we got to go see the Oscar Meyer Weinie Bus. It was parked outside of Safeway one day. So we had to go see the hotdog bus and get whistles.

Sunday afternoon, August 15th we headed to Dosewallips State Park that is off of the Hood Canal. It is beautiful over there. We rented 2 cabins. They have a living room and a bedroom. They were really nice. Logan loved the fact that they had bunk beds. Whenever we lost track of Logan we would just go and look in the bunk bed and there he was playing or snuggling with his duck blankey and would tell us that he just needed to take a little rest. Jenna didn't get nearly as dirty as I expected. She only ate a small amount of dirt, grass and rocks which is good for her. Her knees got a little scratched up from crawling on the cement, but it didn't really seem to phase her. When we got to the campground we basically just set up camp, cooked dinner, wandered around the campground a little and then went to bed. The next day we went on a hike along the river. It was really pretty. Then we came back and had lunch. After that everyone took a little nap since the babies had to nap. Logan didn't take a nap but he actually stayed decently quiet for a hour so Brian and I could take a nap. After nap time we went to the river to play. Logan collected rocks, and Jenna ate them. :) The water was really cold so we didn't play too long in the water. We then went over to the hood canal and collected clam and oyster shells and played in the water some more. When we first drove over to the parking area for part of the hood canal, we drove in and there were probably 2 dozen elk. We were able to get about 5-10 feet away from them...in the car. After playing in the canal we headed back to the car and a hospital helicopter flew over us and landed back where the elk were. That was the designated landing spot for helicopters. Someone got in an minor ATV accident. Logan enjoyed seeing the firetruck, ambulance and especially the helicopter. Then we came back and cooked dinner and smores then went to bed. The next day we packed up camp and then went geo cashing. Geo cashing is a scavenger hunt with a GPS. People make up different hunts and post the coordinates online and then you can try and find the treasure. Its pretty fun. Then we headed home. We stopped and had a picnic lunch at another state park on the way home. We also stopped by Cabelas so Logan could see all the animals. I think he had more fun riding the escalators there. Logan is ready too. Note: we bought him his own camel pack to use during summer time. The first day he used it he had to pee about 5-6 times in about 2 hrs time. At least we knew he wasn't going to get dehydrated on our trip.

We found this huge tree, and Brian decided that he and Logan had to climb it. Can you tell Logan was excited to climb up there.

Camille would find the rocks and stick them in the bucket. Jenna would take them out of the bucket and insist on taste testing every one.

We drove over to the Hood Canal to go play and when we drove into the parking area...this is what we saw. A herd of Elk. We were able to get between 5 and 10ft away from them. It was really fun to see.

August Fun

Here is a little taste of what we did during the month of August.
Jenna helped me vacuum.
