Logan's got a good memory

Usually I leave this stuff to Christina but she's gone tonight and the kids were being cute so you get a rare post from me.

The kids rocking out in the car with some killer 3D glasses we got from the theater.

Outdoor Adventures

For Brian and I's anniversary we decided to go on a hike. Yes this is what I do for fun now. Well its almost fun. We went and hiked Otter Falls. It wasn't a very difficult hike but it was a total of 9.5 miles. I'm tired just thinking about it again. Here is Brian and I at Otter Falls. Isn't it pretty?
Us with a view of the mountains.
Me at on of the smaller falls.
Yes in the midst of the 9.5 miles there were lots of parts of the trail covered in snow. Yuck!
More random pictures from our adventure.
Handsome Hunk alert...

As you know I was slacking on my blogging so here is another catch up session. We had a snow day back in March or February. The kids had a blast playing in the snow. This was one of Jenna's first times playing in the snow.

Logan made a snow man and a snow monster. This was his idea.

Jenna meeting a snow monster for the first time.

Logan's favorite thing to do was to shake the bushes and have all the snow fall on top of him.

On another snow day... Brian and some of the scouts went snow caving up at Mount Rainier. Here are a couple pictures from their cave. They did an amazing job. This is David Welsh all snuggled up for a long nights sleep.
View of the cave. Looks like a luxury suite to me.
Brian showing off his cave.
Then our next adventure was a hike up to rattlesnake ledge. We ran out of time before it got dark to make it to the top, so we just stopped at one of the look outs and took some pictures.
Brian and Logan with Rattlesnake Lake behind.
Logan loves to climb any rock he can, but this one seemed a little too big for his liking. He looks pretty scared in the picture.
Jenna enjoying the hike.
Water break.
Logan on the rock.
This was from another hike at Lake Desire. You may remember pictures from before. This was our second time doing this hike. It is something quick and easy to do once Brian gets off work.

Hope you enjoyed seeing some of our adventures. More adventures to come hopefully!

Happy Mother's Day to an Angel

Happy Mother's Day Mom. I just wanted to write you a little note to tell you that you are such a wonderful Mother. Thank you for all you have done for me. You are amazing and truly are an angel. I found a song that is better at putting into words how I feel about you. Please listen to the song and pay close attention to the chorus. Every word is so fitting of you. I love you! Thanks for being my Mom! Happy Mother's Day to the best Mom EVER!

We found out that one of the community colleges has a little aquarium. So on a Saturday we decided to go check it out. Logan is attempting the star fish. He was quite nervous about it. Jenna had no problem touching them.
Trying to find the stars.
Jenna trying to get in on the action.

Jenna kept trying to kiss the fish.
Beach babes!
Dad... Look what I found!

The kids loved walking around on the pier. Logan was giving Jenna a tour of the pier.

Brian took a day off of work a few weeks ago so we went to the point defiance zoo and aquarium.

The kids favorite animal to see was the walrus's. The walrus's put on a good show for them.

Logan loving the penguins.
My little spiders.

Cutest sea creature I have ever seen.
Logan wanting to get closer to the reindeer.
My little snail.
Another one of the cutest sea creatures.
Mama bird in her nest with her babies.
Catch that peacock. At the zoo's around her they have roaming peacocks. Its pretty fun.
Jenna's favorite thing was her friends the lemurs. She walked right up and gave this one a hug and a kiss.
Pucker up!

Jenna and her new friends.
Us and the hippo!
Then recently we went to the woodland park zoo. It sure is nice to have a zoo membership. The kids loved watching the gorillas bury themselves with the straw.

Free hippo rides. Kailey and Taryn Welsh joined us at the zoo.
These monkeys were so noisy. They put on a good show for us too.

Watching the bears.

David managed to get one of the birds to come down to him.
The same bird climbed over to Logan.
